Mark is a Chartered Financial Planner, Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and Director of rockwealth Wharfedale.
Mark grew up with a keen interest in the ‘nuts and bolts’ of personal finance and remembers trying to understand share price movements in the newspaper as early as age 10! His early career saw him, instead though, qualify and practice as a solicitor specialising in tax for over 10 years before deciding on a career change into personal financial planning over a decade ago.
Mark is a passionate advocate for delivering comprehensive, life-centred financial planning to his clients. While his qualifications and experience evidence his strong technical ability, Mark is always keen to first understand his clients’ “Why?”. Mark then applies technical and investment processes to enable his clients to live the lives they wish to lead.
Mark lives in Ilkley with his wife. He has for many years enjoyed trying to keep fit enough to run multi-day endurance footraces in deserts, jungles and mountains, and has published his experiences of the world-famous Marathon des Sables footrace in his book Running from Shadows.

I love to take the worry away and help clients know if they’re going to be able to live the lives they’ve worked so hard to build towards, and, if not, what we can do to get them there.”
